Why do I always emphasize the importance of stretching?
- Stretching is one of the simplest yet most effective methods for maintaining the body’s health. It not only increases muscle flexibility but also improves joint mobility, promotes blood circulation, and helps prevent musculoskeletal problems (it is, however, always important to first restore the body’s symmetry!).
Ancient stretching cultures
- In ancient cultures, such as yoga in India or tai chi in China, stretching was not only a physical exercise but also served to harmonize body and mind. For thousands of years, yoga has combined stretching postures with breathing and mindfulness, thus supporting the health of both body and mind in a holistic way. I myself have been practicing yoga for 13 years, and in my experience, regular stretching makes a tremendous difference in reducing pain, improving posture, and enhancing freedom of movement in everyday life.

Why should stretching be combined with chiropractic care?
- The goal of chiropractic treatment is to harmonize the spine, joints, and muscles, eliminate the source of pain, and restore the body’s symmetry. When combined with regular stretching:
- Muscle elasticity is restored more quickly.
- Muscle tension can be reduced, which helps support spinal stability.
- The effects of the treatment become more sustainable, so improvement lasts longer.
- The body becomes more aware: posture issues can be recognized more easily and corrected in time.
